Hopefully you were fortunate to jump on the opening line at New England -7. The spread saw a 2.5-3 point jump after the announcement that starting quarterback Sam Darnold was doubtful. With Joe Flacco starting, the line shifted as high as 10 points, and currently sits at New England -9.5 on DraftKings and FanDuel at the time of this writing. A 9.5 spread is obviously more desirable than 10 points, given that it’s a difference of a touchdown and field goal to push. The over/under has fluctuated and surprisingly sits at 42.5 currently on DraftKings and FanDuel. With the inefficiencies of both offenses as of late, I really like the under. The Jets have a total of 1 touchdown with Joe Flacco under center, and have failed to eclipse 10 points in 4 of their last 5 games.

Monday Night Football Best Bet: UNDER 42.5 for a single unit bet.

I also like the Patriots at the opening line of -7, but would play them at -9.5 for a half unit bet.

If I had to choose a player to score first, I would go with Cam Newton, but I don’t have a lot of confidence in the play. He’s currently +500 on DraftKings and +440 on FanDuel. It’s worth noting that Cam Newton also has a +175 odds boost to score an anytime touchdown and the Pats to win.
